Job summary

AWJ is seeking a Food Runner to efficiently deliver orders from kitchen to guests while maintaining high presentation and service standards. You will coordinate with kitchen and service staff to enhance the dining experience and ensure smooth restaurant operations in a fast-paced Dubai setting.

The role prioritizes accuracy, speed, and guest satisfaction, requiring strong communication, multitasking, and physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in restaurants or hospitality is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and carry trays.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all dishes are presented correctly before serving.
• Verify food items, table numbers, and special requests before delivery.
• Assist waiters and servers during busy service periods.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Clear dirty plates, utensils, and glasses from tables when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
• Assist in setting up tables and preparing the restaurant before service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide friendly customer service.
