  • Reconciliation & COS submission for various visas.
  • Arrangement & processing of Cash to Master requests.
  • Handling the central cashier functions during staff leave.
  • Compliance with local VAT regulations.

Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Executive to join our team in Dubai. The purpose of this role is to provide accurate processing and accounting of Petty cash claims received mainly from operations and other dept within the organization. As well as arranging Cash to Master for onward delivery to the vessels at various ports.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verification and processing of all petty cash claims received from various stakeholders within the organization related to operational and business travel expenses.
  • Regular reconciliation & allocation of open items in the business advance & corporate credit card accounts for staff who have availed this advances/ card.
  • Issuance of Local Purchase orders (LPO) for Launch maintenance & Business travel with a set KPI timeframe of 24-48 hrs.
  • Reconciliation & COS submission for various visas as per revenue lines booked during the month in Optic LPA & U4.
  • Arrangement & processing of Cash to Master requests received from marine operations team for onward delivery to the vessel.
  • Handling the central cashier functions during staff leave.
  • Compliance with local VAT regulations while processing vendor invoices mainly for disallowed VAT.
  • The post holder will carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the Line Manager and ensure full utilization of all ISS systems according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Who You Are:
  • University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting.
  • Certificate course in Basic Computing like MS Office & diploma in accounting package (preferable but not mandatory).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts with 1 year in a shipping company.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software like Peachtree, Tally.
  • Experience in handling physical cash with a proven record of nil mismatches in daily physical cash count.
  • Experience of working to pre-defined processes and procedures and delivering work in accordance to SLA (Service Level Agreements).
  • Knowledge of Port / Shipping operations.
  • Well versed in handling petty cash vouchers.
  • Knowledge of customer base and their requirements.
  • Working knowledge of operating and/or CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
  • Competent user of the MS Office suite including Outlook, Excel and Word.
