Job summary

CareerLink HR in Dubai seeks a Consultant / Specialist – Pediatric Dentistry to provide specialized oral healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents in a hospital setting. You will focus on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and education while ensuring a child-friendly environment.

The role involves collaborative care with pediatricians and specialists, licensure guidance, and comprehensive relocation support for a smooth transition. Experience of 3+ years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine check-ups, dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and apply sealants.
• Educate children and parents on oral hygiene practices (brushing, flossing, diet).
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions specific to children (tooth decay, gum disease, developmental abnormalities).
• Perform pediatric dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, pulpotomies (baby tooth root canal), crowns, and space maintainers.
• Manage dental trauma and injuries in children.
• Use child-friendly communication and behavior management techniques to reduce fear.
• Employ sedation or other comfort measures when necessary.
• Create a welcoming environment to build trust with young patients.
• Conduct early orthodontic evaluations and monitor jaw/teeth development.
• Provide interceptive orthodontic treatments when required.
• Work closely with pediatricians, orthodontists, and other specialists for holistic care.
• Maintain DHA/DOH/MOH licensing standards and hospital protocols.
• Document medical records accurately and ensure follow-up care.
• Counsel parents on preventive strategies and nutrition for oral health.
• Participate in community dental outreach programs.
• Train and supervise dental assistants or junior staff.
