Job summary

CIMC Pteris Global in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems for material handling and related industrial projects on-site.

You will develop and review drawings, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, monitor progress against schedules and budgets, and assist in installation, testing, and commissioning while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering with ability to apply engineering principles to design, analysis, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Experience in Project Engineering and Project Management, including planning, coordination, risk management, and delivering projects within scope, time, and budget.
• Proficiency in CAD, REVIT for creating, reviewing, and modifying mechanical layouts, assemblies, and detailed drawings. BIM experience is a added bonus.
• Knowledge of building interface workshops, coordination and clash detection analysis is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Experience in industrial, airport, logistics, or material handling projects is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients and contractors.
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai and support occasional travel to project locations if required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical systems for material handling and related industrial projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Develop and review engineering drawings, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, and monitoring progress against schedules and budgets.
• Prepare technical documentation, support procurement with technical input, and assist in installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and project execution processes.
