Blake Anderson Recruitment is seeking an experienced Development Director for a leading real estate developer in Dubai to oversee a portfolio of luxury projects. The ideal candidate will combine an architectural design background with developer-side delivery expertise, guiding design, procurement, construction and handover to deliver exceptional buildings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• Significant experience transitioning from architectural practice to developer-side development management.
• Proven track record delivering luxury residential, hospitality or high-end mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle, including feasibility, design management, budgeting, procurement, construction and handover.
• Ability to balance design excellence with commercial performance and buildability.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen, including development appraisals, cost management and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full development lifecycle of luxury projects from concept to handover.
• Manage briefs, budgets, programmes, delivery strategies and milestones.
• Monitor performance, assess risks and keep projects on time and on budget.
• Ensure developments meet investment objectives and end-user requirements.
• Guide design development and coordinate architects, engineers and consultants.
• Review proposals to align with brief and commercial goals.
• Oversee coordination, specifications, material selection and value engineering.
• Oversee procurement, contractor appointments, construction progress and QA.
• Coordinate project teams and stakeholders for efficient delivery.
• Ensure health and safety and compliance with designs.
• Oversee handover, warranties and defect resolution.
