Job summary

Workato is seeking a Librarian in Dubai to manage the library’s collections, provide reference services, and support user research. The ideal candidate will have a library science background, strong organizational and computer skills, and a passion for reading.

The role requires independent work in a fast-paced environment and offers a salary package of 1,400 AED per month. Foreign nationals eligible to work in Dubai are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
• Proficiency in the use of computers & technology.
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and best practices for storing & retrieving information.
• Ability to work independently & stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize library resources including books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and other media
• Maintain records of library users and their borrowing activities
• Create a cataloging system for library resources according to recognized standards
• Assist patrons with research requests or inquiries about library materials or services
• Provide reference services by responding to questions or directing users to sources of information
• Develop new programs and activities aimed at promoting the use of the library
• Assist in planning special events such as book fairs or author visits
