Job summary

A leading trading company in Dubai is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This full-time, entry-level role focuses on building a strong foundation in accounting and offers hands-on experience with daily financial operations. Responsibilities include data entry, reconciliations, preparing reports, and supporting month-end processes. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 1 year of experience in the UAE. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of prior accounting experience in the UAE (preferred).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, and receipts.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and basic accounting standards.
