Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Java Technical Architect for an initial 1-year extendable contract to be based onsite in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on designing robust, scalable solutions and guiding engineering teams through complex architectures.

You will translate business needs into technical designs, lead high-impact design reviews, and ensure adherence to security, reliability and performance standards within a global delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Core Java expertise is essential.
• Strong experience in Enterprise Application Development (Spring).
• Proven solution design and architecture capabilities.
• Proficient with SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with REST APIs and Kafka.
• Cloud & modern platform skills.
• DevOps mindset with CI/CD experience.
• Testing and quality engineering focus.
• Observability and production support knowledge.
• Security skills including OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Translates business requirements into technical specifications and designs robust, scalable solutions.
• Leads technical design and build for complex solutions across teams.
• Mentors engineers to write clean code and improve testing.
• Champions automation and lean software development and conducts root cause analysis.
• Drives proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate ideas.
• Defines software playbooks and contributes to technology strategy.
• Monitors engineering metrics for reliability and quality.
• Supports production and security considerations during delivery.
