Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a Used Car Buyer to join its Electric Mobility team in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on sourcing, inspecting, valuing and purchasing vehicles while maintaining stock levels and supporting profitability objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Used Cars, contributing to vehicle acquisition, identifying wholesale opportunities and ensuring purchasing decisions align with prices and margins.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum one year of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in vehicle buying, vehicle sales or workshop-floor operations within a major automotive franchise.
• Practical knowledge of vehicle inspection, condition assessment and valuation.
• Ability to assess vehicle values and make informed purchasing recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Sourcing and Purchasing - identify and prospect suitable vehicle-purchasing opportunities.
• Inspect, assess and purchase vehicles at recommended prices in line with business requirements.
• Achieve monthly vehicle-purchase targets while contributing to gross-margin objectives.
• Evaluate vehicle condition and market value to support accurate purchasing decisions.
• Record inspection findings on vehicle-condition assessment forms and determine valuations.
• Stock Management and Wholesale Operations - maintain a balanced vehicle stock mix to support demand and business needs.
• Apply appropriate vehicle pricing to encourage stock turnover and meet stock-age targets.
• Identify opportunities to purchase and sell vehicles through wholesale channels.
• Support efficient stock management by aligning purchasing with inventory and profitability objectives.
• Customer Experience and Performance - deliver a positive and professional experience to internal and external customers.
• Build effective working relationships through clear communication and customer-focused service.
• Monitor performance against purchasing and operational targets.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in purchasing efficiency and customer interactions.
