Job summary

India Abroad in Dubai is seeking an experienced Barista to join our cafe team. You will craft beverages, greet customers, and handle orders with precision while maintaining clean, welcoming service areas.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years’ barista experience, strong customer service, and working knowledge of POS systems. This role requires fast, accurate service and good teamwork in a busy cafe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred but not required.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a barista in a cafe/restaurant setting.
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Working knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
• Ability to work quickly and maintain high quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of coffee drinks, such as cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, and mochas.
• Greet customers entering the cafe and answer their questions about menu items or other inquiries.
• Take customer orders and accurately input them into the POS system.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other cafe supplies and order new stock when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the cafe including counters, tables, floors, bathrooms, etc.
• Communicate with kitchen staff regarding any special orders or modifications to menu items.
• Follow safety protocol when handling food or operating equipment such as grinders or espresso machines.
• Assist with cashier duties as needed such as taking payment from customers or issuing change.
