Job description

Responsible for load and unload aircraft parts, industrial tools, pallets, crates, and boxes utilizing various forms of forklifts and hand trucks (pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks). Drive and transport various goods to and from the facility. Responsible for transportation oversight of all parts, equipment, tooling and hazardous materials, ensuring item gate pass are accompanied for the movement of all items. Ensure all loads are secured properly prior transportation. Complete all tasks assigned most efficiently and within a timely manner.

  1. Follow the day-to-day work related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
  2. Operate all wheel vehicles and equipment over a varied terrain and roadways.
  3. Executes operator transactions in compliance with UAE law(s), directives, technical manuals, standing operating procedures, safety procedures, and quality policies.
  4. Familiar with and utilizes the vehicle maintenance owner’s manual.
  5. Responsible to the Logistics Transportation Supervisor for all logistical matters pertaining to safe and effective vehicle operation.
  6. Manage load, unload, and safety of cargo being transported.
  7. Damage inspection of materials before and after transportation
  8. Helps operationally maintain all rolling stock as assigned.
  9. Reports any and all things deemed critical information requirements to the Supervisor.
  10. Transport employees, and assist them as required.
  11. Perform Aircraft Spare pick-ups from ports and deliveries as required.
  12. Fulfill special requests by picking up and delivering items as directed and running errands.
  13. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., perform minor repairs and arrange for other repairs, and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean.
  14. Keep records of use of vehicle, daily kilometer age, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, and tests performance of vehicle accessories, such as lights, horn, and other services.
  15. Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident.
  16. Ability to initial check Documents with items collected / delivered.
  17. Ensure maintaining all required passes before dispatch to assigned premises.
  18. Ensures all aspects of an efficient vehicle fleet are maintained in support of the vehicle maintenance supervisor and ASD as a whole.
  19. Continually reports issues, and any adverse actions that could hinder successful operations.
  20. Maintain confidence by keeping information strictly confidential.
  21. Knowledge of public safety, and security operations, rules, regulations, precautions, prevention, and the protection of people, data, and property.
  22. Assists Logistics Transportation Supervisor, Team Lead, and Manager in all transportation related activities to successfully support Logistics mission requirements.
  23. Ensure all items are transported in a safe and secured condition; item accountability is traceable; documentation and handling of item is in accordance to procedures, movement reports, as required.
  24. Ensures that vehicles have full tank of Gas at end of each day. May make minor repairs, such as fixing punctures, cleaning spark plugs or other related repairs.
  25. Able to on and off-loading docks / ladders / forklifts and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  26. Willing to travel or relocate to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), for short or long rotations, in support of the company’s mission requirements.
  27. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  28. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
