Job summary

A prominent engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced HVAC Draftsman to prepare detailed MEP/HVAC layout drawings and coordinate with engineers on design changes. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 4 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial projects. This role requires strong knowledge of HVAC systems and a commitment to safety and quality. Employment is on a contract basis with no remote work option.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an HVAC Draftsman.
• Strong knowledge of MEP/HVAC systems including chilled water systems.
• Technical expertise in MEP/HVAC design and execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP/HVAC layout drawings, ducting layouts, piping layouts.
• Develop shop drawings, GA drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with MEP/HVAC engineers for design changes.

Job description

• Prepare detailed MEP/HVAC layout drawings ducting layouts piping layouts and equipment arrangement drawings.
• Develop shop drawings GA drawings and as-built drawings as per project requirements.
• Interpret HVAC design inputs specifications and engineering documents.
• Coordinate with MEP/HVAC engineers to incorporate design changes and technical clarifications.
• Ensure drawings comply with ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA project specifications and client standards.
• Support site teams by providing drawing revisions and resolving drawing-related queries.
• Maintain drawing registers document control and revision tracking.
• Participate in technical meetings when required and provide drafting support during project execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 48years of experience as an HVAC Draftsman in oil & gas / industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP/HVAC systems including chilled water systems ducting ventilation and pressurization systems.
