Job summary

A regional holding company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Divisional Finance Manager for its Automotive & Travel Divisions. The role involves high-level decision-making, implementing financial controls, and preparing budgets and financial reports. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience and a Chartered Accountant qualification, preferably with a track record in the automotive sector.

  • Regional experience preferred.

Job description
POSITION: DIVISIONAL FINANCE MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE & TRAVEL DIVISIONS

This is a unique opportunity to join a regional holding company which has ambitious expansion plans. This person will be involved in high level decision making on both operations and the long-term strategy of the group. This position will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure all Group policies and procedures are implemented properly, communicated to all staff, monitored regularly, adhered to in all instances and rolled out to new employees.
  • Develop policies or procedures that are required but not yet developed, obtain necessary approvals, and implement them.
  • Implement financial controls across businesses to prevent misuse of funds or assets and to improve cost control.
  • Serve as a key member of the senior management team to develop operational and strategic business plans, forecasts and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare revenue and debtors analysis, monthly management accounts and other reports daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Prepare annual budgets per business unit with quarterly rolling forecasts.
  • Prepare and present monthly Business Review Packs (BUR).
  • Submit monthly Financial Manager’s reports summarizing P&L, variance analysis, balance sheet, cash flow, focus areas, control weaknesses and corrective actions.
  • Manage banking related transactions within Automotive and Travel Divisions.
  • Monitor daily cash flow and manage payables.
  • Review and authorize monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure financial statements are prepared in line with IFRS.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Chartered Accountant or similar qualification
  • Proven track record within the Automotive sector
  • Regional experience is preferred
