The Role

The Distribution Account Manager is a high‑impact role within Pure Storage’s Global Channel Sales function. This position acts as the primary operational and administrative liaison for our distributor community directly influencing our indirect revenue growth. You will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day relationship ensuring program compliance, resolving operational roadblocks and identifying process efficiencies that enhance the overall partner experience.

What You’ll Do

Your primary focus will be optimizing our distributors’ engagement and operational efficiency:

  • Accelerate Deal Flow & Compliance: Execute high-volume pipeline management tasks including timely approval, rejection, extension and reassignment of deal registrations to maintain a clean and accurate sales pipeline in Salesforce.
  • Drive Partner Operational Excellence: Serve as the first point of contact for all systems-related issues including troubleshooting portal access, login credentials, CPQ (Configure Price Quote) issues and license allocation.
  • Enable Program Mastery: Proactively communicate, explain and provide updates on complex distributor program details, requirements and incentives (including the Rebate Portal) to ensure full comprehension and compliance.
  • Facilitate Readiness & Training: Guide distributors to access mandatory and optional sales technical and certification training resources to increase their competency and sales effectiveness.
  • Operational Streamlining & Documentation: Assess current operational processes, identify friction points and contribute to streamlining efforts. Document new processes and best practices for the distributor community.
  • Support Channel Engagement: Assist in driving partner attendance for distributor marketing events and manage proactive follow‑up to maximize conversion and engagement ROI.
  • Data & Reporting: Generate accurate, timely reports and data insights for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis for leadership.
What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a highly organised service-oriented professional eager to build a career in Channel Operations:

  • Operational Acumen: Experience providing high-quality support or account management in a fast-paced technology or B2B environment specifically working with partners, resellers or distributors.
  • Sales Technology Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with core sales systems including Salesforce (SFDC) and partner management portals (e.g. Partner Central) with a strong ability to manage data and pipeline hygiene.
  • Process & Detail Orientation: A high degree of accuracy and focus on detail with proven ability to analyse current processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency gains.
  • Communication & Service Mindset: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical and programmatic details clearly coupled with a professional customer‑first service approach.
  • Collaboration & Interlock: Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple internal teams (e.g. GPO, Sales, Channel Ops, Marketing) to resolve complex issues quickly.
  • Drive for Development: Strong desire to grow expertise in Distribution Account Management and Channel Marketing actively seeking out and participating in development opportunities.
