Job Summary:
The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department in a hotel or similar establishment. This includes ensuring high standards of cleanliness, training and supervising staff, and managing budgets and inventory.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
- Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure high performance standards.
- Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards and address any deficiencies.
- Manage budgets, inventory, and supplies for the housekeeping department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Handle guest complaints and requests regarding housekeeping services.
- Implement environmentally friendly practices and procedures in the housekeeping department.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with budgeting and inventory management.
