Job summary

Confidential seeks an experienced Director – Engineering & Operations to lead engineering, infrastructure, asset management and facilities operations across a large portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

You will set maintenance strategies, oversee budgets, manage cross-functional teams, and drive energy efficiency, safety and continuous improvement across multiple sites in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related).
• Minimum 14 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in people management.
• Strong background in Engineering Operations, Facilities Management, Infrastructure or Large-Scale Property Operations.
• Extensive knowledge of MEP, HVAC, asset management, utilities and critical systems.
• Experience managing large-scale facilities and infrastructure portfolios.
• Strong leadership, commercial awareness and stakeholder management.
• Professional certifications such as CEng, CIBSE, IFMA or PMP are advantageous.

• Drive asset reliability, lifecycle management, preventive maintenance and operational efficiency.
• Manage contractors, service providers, operational budgets and performance against KPIs and SLAs.
• Lead project commissioning, technical handovers and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, HSE and relevant ISO standards.
• Drive sustainability, energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale facilities and infrastructure portfolios.
• Strong leadership, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certifications such as CEng, CIBSE, IFMA or PMP are advantageous.

Candidates with experience managing large-scale, complex infrastructure and critical facilities will be preferred.
