Job summary

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking a skilled Dimensional Control Surveyor with strong mechanical fabrication and offshore project experience. The role emphasizes precision in dimensional control surveying for oil & gas, offshore wind, and shipbuilding, using specialized software and surveying equipment.

The candidate will perform surveys in yards, platforms, and shipyards, generate as-built drawings, and collaborate with engineers and QA/QC teams to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in a mechanical fabrication yard as a Dimensional Controller.
• Oil & gas and offshore wind field project experience.
• Proficient with Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with Leica Total Stations TS-15 & TS-16.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional control surveys in yards, offshore platforms, shipyards & conversion projects.
• Ensure accuracy of structural alignment, installation and fabrication per specs.
• Use Leica TS-15/TS-16 and precision instruments for measurements.
• Generate survey reports, as-built drawings and project handover docs.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs and QA/QC to resolve discrepancies.
• Support offshore wind field projects with dimensional verification and installation accuracy.
• Maintain health, safety and quality standards during surveys.
• Assist project planning with dimensional input for fabrication stages.

Role Overview: Orbit ISS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dimensional Control Surveyor with a strong background in mechanical fabrication and offshore projects. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in dimensional control surveying for oil & gas, offshore wind, and shipbuilding projects, with proficiency in specialized software and surveying equipment. The role requires precision, adaptability, and the ability to perform effectively in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional control surveys in mechanical fabrication yards, offshore platforms, shipyards, and conversion projects.
• Ensure accuracy in structural alignment, installation, and fabrication processes to meet engineering and client specifications.
• Utilize Leica Total Stations (TS-15 & TS-16) and other precision instruments for surveying and measurement tasks.
• Apply advanced dimensional control techniques using Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD software.
• Generate accurate survey reports, documentation, and as-built drawings for project handover.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and QA/QC teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies.
• Support offshore wind field projects with dimensional verification and installation accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards during all survey activities.
• Work under high-pressure conditions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Contribute to project planning by providing dimensional input for fabrication and installation stages.

Requirements
