Job summary

NIMR in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design innovative automotive Chassis System, structural and body components. You will work across concept through production, delivering drawings and aligned with manufacturing needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5-7 years in automotive design, with CREO and CAE experience. You will help release technical documentation, DFMEA, DVP&R and GD&T practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of automotive design experience.
• Experience with CREO and CAE systems.

Responsibilities

• Design automotive chassis, structural and body components.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for production.
• Assist in DFMEA, DVP&R and documentation release.
• Develop GD&T compliant drawings.

Job purpose

Responsible For Design innovative automotive Chassis System, Structural and body system designs.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in managing the release of all technical documentation including drawings, design failure mode effects and analysis (DFMEA) and design validation and reporting (DVP&R).
• Creates 3D model concepts for discussion and approval.
• Creates 2D drawings of approved 3D models for production and manufacturing.
• Develops drawings mark-up and stack analysis, GD&T and component drawings.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline required. (Mechanical / Production).
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automotive design or within relevant industry is preferred, with experience in all phases of design process from idea conception throughout production.
• Experience in automated drafting and 3-D Modeling, CREO, CAE systems required
