Job summary

Clarins Group is seeking a Demand Planner for E-Com & AGD in Dubai to develop accurate forecasts, monitor stock, and align with marketing and sales initiatives. You will integrate forecasts into ERP and DMP systems, ensuring product lifecycle status is maintained and forecast accuracy is tracked.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in supply chain planning, strong MS Office skills, and familiarity with demand planning tools. English proficiency is required for global collaboration and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed.
  • 2+ years experiences in Supply Chain Operations, in particular on Demand Planning.
  • Technical skills
  • Excellent utilization of MS Office suite (Excel, Access, …) and databases
  • Effective utilization of Demand Planning systems and tools
  • Expertise of main statistical methods to calculate sales forecasts
  • Knowledge of Beauty market specificities as a plus
  • Languages: English

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate demand forecasts for Clarins products considering historical data, market trends, promotions, and seasonality.
  • Analyze historical sales, orders, backlog, and sell-out data to adjust forecasts.
  • Integrate sales forecasts into ERP and DMP systems with proper lifecycle status classification.
  • Monitor forecast reliability and adjust for launches and promotions.
  • Conduct biannual stock level analysis and propose optimization actions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to balance stock and turns.

Demand Forecasting
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts for Clarins products, considering historical data, market trends, promotions, and seasonality.
  • Analyze historical sales, orders, backlog, and any available sell-out data to adjust sales history and forecasts.
  • Integrate sales forecasts into the ERP and DMP systems, ensuring proper classification of product lifecycle statuses (Active, Discontinued, Inactive).
  • Monitor the reliability of sales forecasts per client and assess impacts from future events such as product launches and promotions.
Stock Level Monitoring
  • Conduct biannual analysis of stock levels at the e-commerce warehouse and propose optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance to discuss actions on stock levels, including destruction and returns, to minimize excess inventory and enhance turnover.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Engage with sales and marketing teams to align forecast with promotional plans, product launches, and seasonal trends.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with operations and logistics teams to ensure that product availability aligns with retail needs.
  • Interface with market representatives to collect feedback for necessary updates to forecasts.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, stock levels, inventory turns, and service levels.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports summarizing inventory status, demand forecasts, supply chain performance, and identified risks.
  • Contribute to S&OP meetings by highlighting potential issues, opportunities, and overall performance against sales goals.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks or disruptions to supply and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Establish backup plans for critical products to minimize the impact of shortages or delays on sales performance.
Forecast Validation Facilitation
  • Ensure consistency between forecasts, budgets, and sales & marketing plans by facilitating the validation process among key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with sales and marketing departments for continual feedback and adjustment of forecasts.
