Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions is seeking a data engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, build insightful dashboards in Tableau and Power BI, and deliver analytics and ML solutions to empower data-driven decisions.

You will transform raw data, perform EDA, develop predictive models with scikit-learn, and deploy lightweight apps with Streamlit, while documenting code and ensuring governance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL/MySQL to manage, transform, analyze, and model data for business insights and reporting.
• Strong expertise in data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, advanced Excel) with KPI definition and monitoring.
• Knowledge of EDA, statistics, and ML concepts including feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and performance optimization.
• Experience building and deploying analytics solutions and prototypes with Streamlit; exposure to AI platforms and NLP frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, Jupyter/Colab, VS Code, and PyCharm for collaboration and code delivery.
• Demonstrates analytical thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, attention to detail, and a learning mindset with a quantitative degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL/MySQL.
• Build and maintain interactive Tableau and Power BI dashboards with governed KPIs.
• Conduct EDA and statistical assessments to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Develop and evaluate predictive analytics and ML models (e.g., using scikit-learn).
• Create lightweight analytics apps and proof-of-concept solutions with Streamlit.
• Support AI, NLP, and Generative AI initiatives through experimentation and validation.
• Maintain documentation for data models, dashboards, and code repositories; ensure data quality and governance.
• Deliver reporting-ready datasets, stakeholder-ready dashboards, reusable assets, and ML/AI prototypes with documented outcomes.
