Job summary

Sia seeks a Data Scientist to turn client data into actionable insights across the Middle East, from data acquisition to modelling and presenting results to stakeholders.

You will work on predictive analytics, NLP, generative AI use cases, data platforms, pipelines, and visualization, collaborating with engineering and product teams to deploy cloud-based solutions.

Job description

Our Data Scientist will build and productionize data science and machine learning solutions for Sia s clients across the Middle East from data acquisition and exploration through modelling evaluation and the presentation of results to client stakeholders As part of the Data amp AI team in the Middle East they will turn client data into insight and working solutions that deliver measurable business value The projects are wide ranging giving our Data Scientist the opportunity to apply a variety of techniques and grow the role to suit their own experience and interests

As part of a diverse and motivated team you will be involved in a range of projects with our clients covering topics such as Predictive analytics and machine learning for business decision-making Natural language processing and generative AI use cases Data platforms pipelines and visualization

Key Responsibilities

• Work with client leaders engineers and analysts to define data needs business objectives and success measures
• Find collect prepare and explore structured and unstructured data sources
• Build evaluate and productionize predictive models and machine learning algorithms including NLP and generative AI use cases
• Build and manage data pipelines and the surrounding data ecosystem to support models in production
• Create dashboards and visualizations that present insights clearly
• Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders including non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy solutions on cloud environments
• Support business development by contributing to opportunity identification proposals and client presentations
• Contribute to Sia s internal accelerators and data science assets
• Carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics or Engineering) 4 to 6 years' experience as a data scientist or in a comparable applied machine learning role
• Strong Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of machine learning and statistical techniques
• Demonstrable experience of taking models from exploration to production
• Experience with data acquisition, exploration, modelling and evaluation on large structured and unstructured datasets
• Experience with data pipelines and data ecosystem management
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
• Experience presenting results to client stakeholders, with strong problem-solving and business acumen
• Certification in AI/ML, data science or a cloud platform is a plus
• Management consulting experience is not required
• Professional proficiency in English is a must; Arabic is a plus
