Job summary

Client of AIQU in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Data Scientist to design, develop and deploy end-to-end ML/DL models using Python and PyTorch, including LLMs for NLP tasks such as text classification and information extraction. You will translate business needs into technical specs, collaborate with data engineers on scalable pipelines, monitor models in production, and mentor junior data scientists.

This role requires 7+ years of hands-on DS experience, advanced degrees, and strong communication

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expertise in Python programming with strong coding and debugging skills.
• Proven experience with PyTorch for building and training deep learning models.
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and statistical modeling.
• Hands-on experience developing and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs).
• Strong background in NLP techniques and toolkits.
• PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, AI, or Data Science.
• Experience deploying ML models on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD, and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Domain experience in oil & gas, finance, or government sectors.
• Leadership experience managing small technical teams or DS projects.
• Publications or contributions to open-source ML libraries.
