Qualifications

• 2+ years in data quality, analytics engineering, BI QA, or a data analyst role with quality ownership.
• Strong SQL with CTEs, window functions, and awareness of query cost. BigQuery/GoogleSQL preferred.
• Python for validation scripts and automation (pandas or equivalent).
• Git-based workflow: branches, PRs, code review.
• Investigative temperament with the ability to identify exact records, joins, and timezones.
• Clear written communication to explain data problems to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Test coverage in dbt across staging, intermediate and mart layers with business-rule tests.
• Source-to-warehouse reconciliation between MongoDB, telephony, files and BigQuery.
• Freshness, volume and schema-drift monitoring on critical tables with ownership definitions.
• Inbound client file QA — validating lender account files before journeys.
• Report and dashboard QA — ensure Tableau dashboards align with warehouse data and filters.
• Pre-release QA of new dbt models and metric definitions.
• Data incident process — detection, triage, stakeholder comms, root cause and fix.
