Job summary

GMG Gulf in Dubai is hiring an Assortment Planner to manage seasonal assortments and optimize category performance across the sports retail business. You'll focus on data-driven assortment planning and inventory forecasting, ensuring alignment with sales and stock efficiency targets.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and experience with planning tools, notably SAP and Power BI. This full-time role offers family medical insurance and discounts on GMG products.

Qualifications

Strong background in assortment planning, product analysis, and forecasting.
Proficiency in inventory management and OTB processes.
Advanced analytical ability with experience interpreting complex data sets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of retail operations, especially in sports retail, is highly advantageous.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

Create channel‑specific assortment plans informed by market analytics and sales data.
Analyze product lifecycle performance and recommend additions, deletions, or substitutions.
Conduct post‑season reviews and share insights with category teams.
Monitor inventory levels to maintain healthy stock positions and reduce excess.
Support Open‑to‑Buy planning with the buying team.
Forecast demand and adjust assortments to maximize sell‑through and minimize markdowns.
Develop distribution plans for new seasons and adjust size allocations by store and region.
Work closely with merchandisers and allocators to deliver category sales and margin targets.
Align seasonal buys with assortment needs through partnership with category managers and buyers.
Coordinate with allocation and distribution teams to ensure proper product flow.
