Job summary

IRISSTAR Technologies is seeking a senior expert with 12+ years in Data Architecture and Data Engineering to lead the design of modern data platforms in the UAE. The role focuses on Databricks, Azure data services, and Lakehouse architectures to deliver scalable data solutions for business stakeholders.

The candidate will drive data governance, security and quality while guiding ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling and integration across enterprise data assets.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in Data Architecture / Data Engineering with hands-on implementation.
• Strong experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering & Data Warehousing.
• Mandatory Databricks expertise and Azure data platform proficiency.
• Experience designing modern data platforms / Lakehouse architectures.
• Proficiency in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS and related services.
• ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data governance knowledge.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement scalable data architectures and data platforms.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
• Establish data standards, frameworks and best practices.

1. Strong experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering & Data Warehousing


2. Mandatory hands-on experience with Databricks


3. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data and cloud services


4. Experience designing and implementing modern data platforms / Lakehouse architectures


5. Strong knowledge of Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and related Azure data services


6. Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration and data modeling


7. Strong understanding of SQL, Python and Spark


8. Experience with Data Governance, Data Security, Data Quality and Master Data Management


9. Ability to define data architecture standards, frameworks and best practices


10. Experience working with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
