Job summary

GFiber is seeking a senior Data Engineer to design and own scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, enabling analytics across business units. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data products and maintain data assets at scale.

The role requires 5+ years in analytics, data engineering, or computer science, with strong SQL and ETL capabilities, and hands-on experience in GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataform, LookML, and Dataplex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in analytics, data science, or computer science engineering.
• 5 years of experience with SQL, data engineering, architecture, and ETL.
• Expertise using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools.

Responsibilities

• Create foundational pipelines and data extractions with large data sets using SQL and GCP technologies
• Work with large, complex data sets to solve analysis problems and assess initiative impact
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to provide financial data engineering expertise
• Own complex projects, maintenance work, and bug fixes with minimal guidance
• Engineer foundational table resources using BigQuery, Dataform, LookML, and Dataplex
