How you can make your mark

As aData Analytics Engineer, you will be part of theIT Data Services team, working closely with business users across various departments to help them gain actionable insights from their data and create value for Boskalis.

You will support multiple projects by managing, analyzing, and reporting on data related totime writing, purchase orders, workforce planning, and more.

Your work will combine both technical and strategic responsibilities :

• Developing, optimizing, and maintaining interactive dashboards (primarily inPower BI) that drive informed decision-making.
• Assisting business content creators with guidance and best practices for BI analysis.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define data needs,translate business questions into technical solutions.
• Managing the Power BI platform, includinglicense administration, monitoring performance, and resolving operational issues.
• Contributing to thecontinuous improvementand long-term vision of the team in how we help our business to make data-driven decisions that deliver value.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ yearsof proven experience in data analytics, BI consultancy and / or data engineering.
• Strong end-to-endPower BIskills — from requirements gathering, data modeling, and visualization to publishing reports and iterating based on feedback.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inData Science, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency inSQLfor data selection and querying, with a solid understanding of ETL processes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable dashboards andbridge communication between business and IT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Comfortable managingmultiple projectsin dynamic and multi-cultural environments.

Preferred

• Advanced data analytics andperformance optimizationtechniques.
• Proficiency inExcel(PivotTables, VLOOKUP, VBA).
• Experience withdata warehousing, includingKimballand generic data modeling principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and the Azure platform.
• Knowledge ofAI applications in BIand how they can enhance analytics.
