Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, ideally within utilities, energy, or critical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of AMI security, encryption, and network protection.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, and UAE cybersecurity frameworks.
• Certified information security professional (CISSP or equivalent) or similar.
• Excellent communication and risk management in complex delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the cybersecurity framework for the programme.
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
• Oversee implementation of security controls across all system components.
• Coordinate penetration testing, incident response and audits.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and international cybersecurity standards.
• Collaborate with IT, Integration and Testing teams to embed secure-by-design.

Job Description

The Cybersecurity Expert will ensure that all systems and data within the Smart Metering Programme meet the highest standards of information security and regulatory compliance. The role involves defining cybersecurity requirements, assessing risks, and overseeing secure system integration across Meters, communications services, HES, MDMS, IT, and field components. It requires expertise in critical infrastructure protection, vulnerability management, and incident response within complex, multi-vendor environments.

Key Responsibilities
