Job summary

EDGE Group PJSC in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer - Emirati Talent to join Beacon Red's team. The role focuses on supporting and delivering cyber security services across offensive and defensive programs, with ownership from scoping to delivery.

You will lead or contribute to penetration testing, incident response, security assessments, and reporting to technical and executive audiences. A Bachelor in Computer Engineering and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field required.
• OSCP/OSEP/GPEN or equivalent certifications preferred/required depending on team.
• Solid understanding of OS & filesystem, networking fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of web applications and related technologies.
• Basic to intermediary understanding of security topics.
• Knowledge of pen testing techniques and methodology.
• Understanding of investigative techniques and incident response processes.

• Operates in internal and customer-facing capacities, building trusted relationships with stakeholders.
• Leads or independently delivers components of penetration testing and red teaming activities.
• Contributes to investigations and incident response, applying offensive insight to defensive problems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Beacon Red is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer - Emirati Talent to join the team. The key aspect of the role is to support and deliver Cyber Security services Beacon Red provides across its offensive and defensive programs. Problem solving is at the core of the role. While the position leans toward analysis, we expect our Cyber Security engineers to bring strong ownership and initiative to every task and project, independently driving work from scoping through to delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates in both internal and customer-facing capacities, building trusted relationships with stakeholders
• Leads or independently delivers components of penetration testing and red teaming activities
• Contributes to investigations and incident response, applying offensive insight to defensive problems
• Conducts and contributes to security assessments, identifying systemic risk and not only isolated findings
• Sustains a high standard of ongoing training and skill development, keeping pace with emerging threats and techniques
• Writes and presents clear, technical reports to both technical and executive audiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or other related field
• Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, GPEN, or equivalent (preferred or required, depending on the team’s standard)
• Solid understanding of Operating Systems & File Systems, Networking fundamentals.
• Solid Understanding of Web Applications & Related Technologies
• Intermediary understanding of security related topics
• General and practical knowledge of pen testing techniques and methodology
• Understanding of investigative techniques & Incident response methodology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with offensive security tooling and frameworks (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Cobalt Strike or equivalent C2 frameworks, BloodHound, Impacket, Nmap).
• Scripting and automation ability in at least one language such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, for tooling, exploit adaptation, and workflow automation.
