Job summary

NMDC Group is seeking a Captain for a Self-Propelled Cutter Suction Dredger in the United Arab Emirates. The role requires command of the vessel, strict adherence to ISM, COLREGs and local regulations, and close coordination with dredging and marine teams.

The candidate should hold a Master(unlimited) STCW license, have Advanced & Basic STCW trainings, a current MLC medical certificate, and at least 10 years of experience on cutter suction dredgers.

Qualifications

• Master(unlimited) license per STCW convention.
• Advanced & Basic STCW trainings.
• Medical certificate per MLC.
• Minimum 10 years' experience on Cutter Suction Dredgers.

Responsibilities

• Command SPCSD safely and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain bridge watchkeeping, navigation safety, chart management and passage planning.
• Coordinate vessel movements with Dredging Superintendent and Marine teams.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response onboard.
• Ensure safe engine and dredging integration with DP/positioning systems where fitted.
• Supervise deck officers, marine crew and watchkeeping to ensure safety and performance.
