Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Customs & Customer Experience Specialist to join our team. You will play a key role in managing customs documentation and compliance processes while ensuring excellent service delivery by managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and supporting our internal teams. If you're a great communicator, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are detail-oriented, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and ensure compliance of all customs documentation for shipments (including declarations, certificates of origin)
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance
  • Coordinate with the shipper and freight forwarders to obtain required documents
  • Manage customer communications via phone and email with professionalism and empathy
  • Process orders promptly and accurately, providing regular updates to customers
  • Identify potential sales leads and coordinate with the external Sales team
  • Contact suppliers to confirm stock and pricing, ensuring transparency with clients
  • Resolve customer concerns efficiently and politely
  • Use technical documentation (e.g., exploded views) to identify part numbers and collaborate with the Technical team when needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or degree in Economics or similar field
  • Experience in customer service or sales, specifically in the GCC region
  • Expertise in export processes, particularly from UAE free zones to the GCC region
  • Strong customer-oriented thinking and approach
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer focus
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus)
  • High level of initiative, team player, and able to work independently
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office; ERP knowledge is an advantage
