Job summary

GAL Aviation seeks a Curriculum Developer to design and amend aviation maintenance training programs, leveraging technical documentation, SME input and course evaluations to maintain current, SAT-compliant materials.

The role collaborates with SMEs, supervisors and managers to ensure content accuracy and alignment with aircraft configurations, reviews evaluations and implements revisions to improve training effectiveness. Bachelor degree and SAT/ICAO qualifications required.

Qualifications

• Designs and develops aviation maintenance curricula and courseware using technical documentation and SME/management input.
• Ensures courseware is SAT compliant using procedures systems.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops aviation maintenance training curricula and courseware.
• Uses computer based applications and procedural systems to ensure SAT compliance.
• Assist in needs analysis, writes learning objectives, establishes training contents, develops instructional materials and writes syllabi.
• Coordinates with SMEs to ensure metrics are integrated with performance evaluation.
• Liaise with maintenance SMEs, supervisors and managers to ensure accuracy and reflect current configurations.
• Reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training.
• Implements revisions to course materials to improve training effectiveness.
• Performs other training related duties as assigned by Training Supervisor or Manager.

Bachelor's Degree in Aircraft Engineering or related aviation discipline

Job description

The Aviation Maintenance Curriculum Developer designs instructional programs for multiple aviation-related topics. S/he utilizes technical documentation, management/instructor/student feedback, and official Course Evaluations to amend/upgrade course instructional materials as necessary.

1. Designs and develops aviation maintenance training curricula and courseware using technical documentation, SME and management input for aircraft and equipment.
2. Uses computer based applications and procedural systems to ensure courseware is SAT compliant.
3. Assist in performing needs analysis, writes learning objectives, establishes training contents, develops instructional materials and writes teaching syllabi.
4. Coordinates with the Subjects Matter Experts ( SME's ) to ensure metrics are integrated with performance evaluation.
5. Liaise with maintenance SME's, supervisors and managers, technical support, and applicable area to ensure that course material is accurate and reflects aircraft/Equipment's current configuration.
6. Reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training.
7. Implements revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
8. Perform any other training related duties as assigned by the Training Supervisor or Manager

• Bachelor's Degree in Aircraft Engineering or a related aviation discipline.
• Certified Course Developer with a recognized qualification such as SAT (Systems Approach to Training) or ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Course Developer Certification.
• Minimum of 4 Years Experience in courseware development.
• General background in aviation maintenance training.
