Job summary

FlatGigs is recruiting on behalf of a leading travel and retail group in Dubai for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead a bold digital transformation. You will set the digital strategy, build scalable platforms, and drive product innovation across B2C and B2B while modernizing systems and aligning with UAE data privacy standards.

• Hands-on understanding of modern tech stacks, e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify etc.), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the digital transformation roadmap for a Dubai-based travel and retail group.
• Oversee platform and product development, including e-commerce, travel booking systems, CRM, and ERP integrations.
• Lead cross-functional tech teams and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Modernize legacy systems to integrated digital platforms across POS, finance, logistics, and HR.

About the Role

FlatGigs is hiring on behalf of a leading travel and retail group in Dubai that is embarking on a bold journey to reimagine and digitize their operations customer experiences and internal ecosystems. We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead this transformation.

As CTO you will play a pivotal role in setting the digital strategy building scalable platforms and creating seamless tech-enabled experiences across both B2C and B2B verticals. You will be the technology anchor of the leadership team owning everything from system modernization to product innovation.

What Youll Own

Technology Strategy & Vision

Define and drive a 35 year digital transformation roadmap across retail travel services e-commerce and internal ops.

Champion cloud-first mobile-first and data-driven architectures that align with business growth.

Platform & Product Development

Oversee development of e-commerce platforms travel booking systems CRM tools and inventory/ERP integrations.

Enable omnichannel customer journeys that unify online offline and on-trip touchpoints.

Team Leadership & Growth

Build and lead cross-functional tech teams including engineering DevOps data and product.

Foster a culture of innovation ownership and continuous improvement.

Process & Systems Digitization

Modernize legacy systems to integrated digital platforms (POS finance logistics HR).

Implement robust analytics tools for demand forecasting customer insights and inventory optimization.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

Establish strong security protocols and ensure systems comply with UAE data privacy and regulatory requirements.

What You Bring

P rogressive tech leadership.

Proven experience in leading digital transformation in retail travel or hospitality domains.

Hands-on understanding of modern tech stacks e-commerce platforms (Magento Shopify etc.) cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and ERP systems.

Strong track record of building and scaling consumer-facing digital products and platforms.

Experience working with cross-functional leadership (Sales Marketing Ops) and external tech vendors.

Strong people leader with the ability to scale and mentor technical teams in high-growth environments.

Nice-to-Haves

Background in both startup and enterprise environments.

Understanding of data privacy laws PCI DSS and secure payment gateway integrations.
