Job summary

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is seeking a Crew Training Manager based in Abu Dhabi to lead the safe and compliant training of flight and cabin crews. As the Nominated Post Holder for Training, you will oversee training policies, instructor qualifications, and regulatory adherence in collaboration with key stakeholders.

You will set standards with the Chief Pilot, ensure qualified instructors, coordinate with safety and compliance teams, and drive high safety and proficiency across all training activities

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience and 5 years in aviation.
• Valid Flight Crew Licence with the appropriate typerating(s).
• Instructor Certificate and/or Examiner Authorization relevant to the required typerating.
• Previous managerial experience in Commercial Air Transport (preferred).
• Eligibility and acceptance by the UAE Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the duties of Nominated Post Holder Training as defined by the GCAA.
• Implement the policy standards and procedures of the Wizz Air Abu Dhabi OM D into all training, examination, and checking.
• Ensure safe and efficient conduct of all training.
• Ensure operations comply with applicable regulations.
• Coordinate flight safety and training items with the CP and instructors.
• Set training policy in coordination with the Chief Pilot.
• Provide leadership to the Cabin Crew Training Manager.
• Represent Wizz Air Abu Dhabi in relevant industry bodies.

Crew Training Manager

Based inAbu Dhabi

Purpose of the position:

The Crew Training Manager ensures the safe efficient and compliant training of Wizz Air Abu Dhabis flight and cabin crew. As the Nominated Post Holder for Training the role oversees training policies instructor qualifications and regulatory adherence while collaborating with key stakeholders to maintain high safety and proficiency standards.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Fulfilling the duties of Nominated Post Holder Training as defined by the GCAA
• Implement the policy standards and procedures of the Wizz Air Abu Dhabi OM D into all training examination and checking in contact with the Accountable Manager
• Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of all Wizz Air pilot and Cabin Crew training in accordance with therelevant Civil Aviation Regulations
• Ensure that the operations remain in compliance with the applicable regulations
• Enable safe conduct of all flights
• Ascertain that all instructors are suitably qualified to conduct training
• Inform the Authority about the training policies norms and standards
• Coordinate flight safety and operational training items with the CP and instructors
• Have training performed according to the Wizz Air flight safety policy in coordination with theManager of Safety Compliance and Security
• Set the training policy in coordination with the Chief Pilot
• In cooperation with the Chief Pilot Chief Cabin Crew Cabin Crew Training Manager and the instructors set standards for flight and cabin crew to be attained intraining in accordance with Regulation and the UAE Civil Aviation law
• Ensure the availability of a sufficient number of properly qualified instructors and examiners
• Ensure the availability of sufficient training aids facilities and contracted courses
• Standardize training for all Wizz Air aircraft as far as practicable in concert with the CP
• As line manager provide leadership to the Cabin Crew Training Manager
• Provide oversight of any ThirdParty Training organizations
• Representing Wizz Air Abu Dhabi in relevant industry bodies
• Ensure effective interoperability objectives within the Wizz Air Group companies

Authorities of the function:

The Crew Training Manager has the authority to:

• Standardize training for all Wizz Air aircraft as far as practicable in coordination with the NP FO
• Inform the Authority about the training policies norms and standards
• Appoint and discharge training and checking personnel
• Temporarily revoke crew member qualifications pending requalification or investigation into the crew member notproficient
• Extend or amend the training plan of a trainee in accordance with OM part D.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in management and 5 years of experience in Aviation (lowcost airline environment is advantageous)
• Valid Flight Crew Licence with the appropriate typerating(s) for Wizz Air Abu Dhabi operations.
• Instructor Certificate and/or Examiner Authorization relevant to the required typerating.
• Previous managerial experience in Commercial Air Transport (preferred).
• Eligibility and acceptance by the UAE Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
