A major financial institution in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Credit Review Manager to oversee credit applications within its Wholesale Banking Group. Role : Credit Review Manager

Location : Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose
  • Process credit applications / requests for Project & Structured Finance within Wholesale Banking Group (WBG) and International Business Group (IBG).
  • Make balanced credit decisions and provide an independent view regarding proposed business transactions
  • Communicate and adhere to ADIBs risk culture risk appetite and tolerance risk policies practices procedures and risk limits
Key Accountabilities of the role
  • Review and approve new finance requests annual reviews CCRs within DLA and provide credit recommendations to higher approving authorities for requests in excess of DLA
  • Establish effective communication with Business to understand the clients needs and ensure that deal due diligence (qualitative and quantitative) is robust
  • Ensure that facilities purpose and structure are in line with customers financing requirements and repayment capacity; optimize the risk return trade off through efficient collaterals financial covenants and terms & conditions
  • Make sure appropriate risks / mitigation analysis is in place primary & secondary sources of repayment have been adequately identified addressed and can withstand the tenor on base and stressed case scenarios.
  • Ensure Credit Policy and TM/RAC adherence and ensure that appropriate justification/mitigants are in place
  • Ensure strict compliance with banks credit policies and procedures and central bank laws and regulations
  • Conduct joint customer site visits when required in order to evaluate the quality of the management / operation and credit worthiness
  • Monitor post disbursement past dues and TOD reports and oversee collection of past due accounts in coordination with the business team
  • Participate in projects that streamline and improve existing processes including policy and process revisions
  • Any other special assignment given by line manager / GCCO
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role
