Credit Controller role is critical position that directly contributes to an organisation's liquidity. You will coordinate with countries on the collection of top overdue customers and monitor their collection by aging brackets. Managing the cash flow and money owed to the business while ensuring payment is received promptly and efficiently.

Detailed Responsibilities
- Adhere to the credit policy clauses and make it a living document. Ensure MENA countries are always in compliance with credit policy.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to assess risk levels accurately.
- Monitor the performance of existing credit accounts, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop strategies to optimize the credit portfolio while maintaining an acceptable level of risk.
- Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize credit losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, finance, and operations teams, to communicate credit risk insights and recommendations effectively. Ensure that the AR department provides quality service to both internal & external customers.
- Provide guidance and leadership to members of the credit risk team.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to facilitate professional growth and development.
- Ensure good relationships are built and maintained with all relevant parties; this includes fellow colleagues, account managers, sales representatives, business partners & external clients.
- Prepare credit limit reporting once a week and send it to the MENA countries management and Group credit.
- Submit overview to Cluster Key Account Manager on customers that they are handling.
- Follow up with the country's credit controller on update on the payment, application of insurance coverage or Credit application for those lists of customers who exceeded the credit limit.
- Report to Group on weekly basis cluster customers exceeding limits and overdues >1M EUR.
- Prepare and conduct monthly calls for the top 10 material overdue collection with the countries management.
- Monitor and support countries to achieve their overdue and DSO KPI’s.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly premium declaration to Atradius insurance.
- Calculate and reconcile monthly bad debts provision per MENA countries for month end closing.
- Prepare monthly networking capital pre-calculation.
- Support countries in case of escalation or clarification needed.
- Keep close liaison between the Country, Cluster and Group so that credit issues are resolved smoothly.
- Maintain accurate records of all payment follow up activities.
- Monitoring closely the customer outstanding balances of MENA to ensure a reduction in DSO.
- Providing ad-hoc reports as and when requested by management.
- Prepare month end closing reports.
- Reconcile the account balances every month and prepare the debtors ageing for the monthly reporting.

Qualifications & Characteristics
- 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller.
- Transport and Logistics experience would be beneficial.
- Work with all our internal teams.
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and flexibility is an important aspect of the role.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer focused.
