The duties and responsibilities of the Crane Operator include:

• operating cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads
• inspecting crane equipment before use to ensure safety
• coordinating movement of crane with other workers on the job site
• following all safety regulations and procedures while operating the crane
• using hand signals or radios to communicate with workers on the ground
• keeping logs of crane operation
