Job summary

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is seeking a meticulous Cost Controller Supervisor to join their extraordinary team. Based in Dubai Science Park, the role focuses on monitoring food, beverage and operational costs and ensuring budget compliance.

You will conduct daily stock audits, review purchases, supplier invoices and variance analyses, and prepare cost-control reports for management, while upholding internal controls and hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role required
• Good oral and written in English
• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Finance/Accounting
• Working experience in Opera
• Strong organizational skills
• Adhere to the Hotel Handbook, as well as all hotel, finance, and general policies and procedures.
• Report problems to Management with suggestions for resolution

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control food, beverage, and operational costs to ensure budget compliance.
• Conduct daily and monthly stock audits, inventory counts, and variance analysis.
• Review purchases, receiving, transfers, and store issues to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Analyze cost reports and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve profitability.
• Calculate and maintain food and beverage recipe costs.
• Check voids, discounts, complimentary items, promotions, and staff meals.
• Conduct spot checks on restaurants, bars, stores, kitchens, and receiving areas.
• Verify supplier invoices, pricing, and inventory records in line with company procedures.
• Prepare regular cost-control reports and present findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and audit requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Financial Accountant & Finance & Business Support Manager.

Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The newly opened Holiday Inn & Suites atDubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

What We Need from You

Ideally, you’ll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we’re looking for:
