Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project cost control activities, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for complex subsea projects.

What will you be doing?
  • Liaise with Commercial Department to take over the bid documentation to set up Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Net Work Activities (NWA) in SAP and establish project as sold budget for internal management report.
  • As per contract's requirement, set up the external cost report to Client and Government.
  • Monitors and updates the actual and committed cost periodically and analyses these costs.
  • Verify cost allocations according to NWA to Project Management Team and Supply Chain Management.
  • Prepare monthly Cost Model and Project Monthly Status Report (PMSR), and Client's Reports if required.
  • Monitor and identify variance from project as sold budget and report accordingly.
  • Maintain Change Order, Budget Shift & Trends Register and prepare the support documents.
  • Assist and Support PM and Contract Administrator to do the estimation of CO to Client.
  • Prepare billing memo with supporting documents to Finance for official invoice.
  • Internal liaison with Finance/Procurement/Operations/ Asset to maintain efficient & accurate recording of cost expenditure and manage discrepancies for preparation of accurate and complete cost reports.
  • Troubleshoot cost abnormalities in reporting data and liaise with relevant parties as necessary.
  • Provide the support to Finance for External Audit and Tax Audit.
  • Support Project Controls Manager on risk process and report.
  • Prepare project and Management ad hoc reports.
  • Involving SAP system improvement and regional reports if there is any.
What experience would we like you to have?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science.
  • 3+ years of cost control experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Minimum 3 year of cost control experience in engineering and construction environment.
  • Must be fluent in the English language and be an effective communicator.
  • Experience in ERP System, SAP is preferred.
