Job Description

Job Title: Cost Control Specialist

Company: KBR - Abu Dhabi

Project: Majnoon

Employment Type: Long Term Contract

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage cost controls and oversee project financials.
  2. Own P&L responsibilities for e-PCSR.
  3. Conduct variance analysis by reviewing job ledger and cost centers.
  4. Oversee Accounts Payable for all project vendors.
  5. Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, aging, WHT, DSO.
  6. Supervise employee expense reimbursement processes.
  7. Lead WBS management: creating, updating, and reviewing.
  8. Act as interface between project and project accounting, supporting corporate reports.
  9. Handle standard costing, including multipliers.
  10. Prepare BOC1540 reports such as VOWD and Monthly Cost Report.
  11. Assist with corporate compliance reports like SOX.
  12. Implement and monitor cost control procedures for accurate reporting of costs, expenditures, and estimates at completion.
  13. Oversee timesheets for UAE & Iraq, including role management and approval batches.
  14. Serve as focal point for internal audits and support client audits.
  15. Review and validate project contractual documents like work orders, contracts, ICA's.

Compliance, Finance, and Operations Support:

  1. Oversee project CMC and P-cards for UAE & Iraq.
  2. Supervise project finance processes such as petty cash, advances, per diems.
  3. Conduct financial assessments during tendering.
  4. Manage work permit applications and cancellations.
  5. Lead social security registration with DRSS.
  6. Report WHT status weekly for Iraq portfolio.
  7. Manage waivers and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance.
  8. Prepare quarterly KPIs aligned with contracts.
  9. Develop project-specific cost and finance procedures.
  10. Supervise, train, and support cost control and finance teams.
  11. Participate in department audits, especially in Iraq.
  12. Respond to ad hoc requests from BOC.
