Job summary

Azizi Group in Dubai invites applications for a Cost Control Engineer to manage financial aspects of projects, monitor expenses, and ensure budget adherence.

You will prepare cost forecasts, analyze earned value vs cost, and work with the Cost Control Manager to deliver accurate cost reports.

Candidates should have an engineering degree and 5+ years of experience; proficiency in MS Project and Power BI is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control training.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of MS Project and Power BI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all commitments against budgets.
• Purchase/Hire Request for Material/Equipment and Work Packages for Subcontractors must be verified.
• Compare actual Direct Labor/Indirect Labor/Staff/Equipment deployment with budgeted figures monthly; highlight variations.
• Improve cost forecasts by analyzing resource histograms and Cost to Complete (CTC).
• Ensure cost control procedures at stores (SIV/MRV/TV) and requisition follow-up log and usage of major materials.
• Prepare and submit the Monthly Cost Analysis Report with accuracy per standards.
• Conduct cost analyses and case studies when required.

As a Cost Control Engineer you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the financial aspects of a project which includes monitoring of project expenses budget adherence preparing cost forecasts and ensuring that the project stays within budget. Works closely with the Department Head in developlng cost analysis reports comparing Earned Value vs. Cost on Cost Code level.

Responsibilities include

• Monitoring & control of all commitments against budgets.
• Purchase/Hire Request for Material Equipment and Work Packages for Subcontractor must be verified
• Comparing the actual Direct Labor/Indirect Labor/Staff/Equipment Project deployment with the budgeted figures on monthly basis any variation with the Budget (Quantity/Amount) must be highlighted in monthly Project Cost Analys Reports.
• Achieve max. accuracy in cost forecasts by analyzing resource histogram and Cost to Complete (CTC). proactively identifying potential overruns each month to ensure timely corrective actions to take mitigation measures and retain the margines.
• Responsible in monitoring and checking of cost control procedure implementation at store SIV/MRV/TV e.g. Cost code timely in put etc. requisition follow up log and consumption of major material items.
• Prepare and submit the Cost Analysis Report (Monthly) with accuracy as per the standards.
• Conduct cost analysis and case studies when required.
• Supports In preparing Cost to Complete reports in coordination with PM of respective projects assisting Cost Control Manager as and when required.

Heres what youll need

• Degree In Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control related training.
• Must have minimum 5 Years of experience and above
• Knowledge in the use of MS Project ERP software Power Bl is highly advantageous
• Microsoft office AutoCAD Power Bl Computer and Software Proficiency
