Job summary

Gulfa Mineral Water and Processing Industries LLC in the UAE seeks a Cooler Technician to install, service, and maintain water coolers and dispensers at customer locations and company premises. The role focuses on safe, hygienic operation and efficient performance of cooling equipment.

You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults, perform preventive maintenance, and keep detailed service records. Travel across the UAE may be required. UAE driving licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as a water cooler/dispenser technician or refrigeration technician.
• Experience with bottled water, FMCG, appliance servicing, or refrigeration equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, thermostats, electrical wiring, and fault diagnosis.
• Practical experience in water cooler cleaning and sanitization.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations across the UAE.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, repair, and maintain water coolers and dispensers.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and cooling-system faults.
• Repair or replace compressors, thermostats, relays, switches, fans, wiring, taps, pumps, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled service plans.
• Clean and sanitize water coolers according to hygiene standards.
• Check cooling performance, temperature, water flow, leakage, and connections.
• Attend customer complaints and breakdown calls promptly.
• Maintain records of services, repairs, spare parts used, and equipment status.
• Follow company HSE, electrical safety, hygiene and procedures.

Job Purpose

The Cooler Technician is responsible for the installation, servicing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and sanitization of water coolers and dispensers at customer locations and company premises. The role ensures all cooling equipment operates safely, hygienically, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, repair, and maintain water coolers and dispensers.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and cooling-system faults.
• Repair or replace compressors, thermostats, relays, switches, fans, wiring, taps, pumps, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled service plans.
• Carry out complete cleaning and sanitization of water coolers according to hygiene and food-safety standards.
• Check cooling performance, temperature, water flow, leakage, electrical connections, and overall equipment condition.
• Attend customer complaints and breakdown calls promptly.
• Install and replace spare parts while minimizing equipment downtime.
• Conduct testing after repairs to ensure the cooler is functioning correctly before handover.
• Maintain records of services, repairs, spare parts used, and equipment status.
• Report recurring technical issues and major repair requirements to the supervisor.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned spare parts in good condition.
• Follow company HSE, electrical safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
• Support cooler collection, replacement, relocation, and new customer installations when required.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Water Cooler / Dispenser Technician or Refrigeration Technician.
• Experience with bottled water, FMCG, appliance servicing, or refrigeration equipment preferred.
• Good knowledge of refrigeration systems, compressors, thermostats, electrical wiring, and fault diagnosis.
• Practical experience in water cooler cleaning and sanitization.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair equipment at customer locations.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical safety procedures.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to travel to customer locations across the UAE.
