Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items.
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Thaw food from freezer storage in the refrigerator.
  • Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
  • Maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
  • Communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
  • Inform Chef of excess food for daily specials.
  • Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, and checklists.
  • Prepare cold foods.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
  • Follow all safety, security policies, and procedures; report issues to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; protect company assets.
  • Address guests’ service needs proactively.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Not required.
  • Licenses or Certifications: None required.
