Job summary

Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO) is seeking a Control Room Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of the Mirfa power and water plant, optimize performance and maintain all control systems to meet commercial and environmental targets.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering and have 3–5 years of field or plant control panel experience in power plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical or Instrumentation & Control).
• 3–5 years’ field or plant control panel experience in power plant operations.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Health & Safety policies and monitor contractor compliance.
• Operate plant equipment and respond to emergencies.
• Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Calibrate and repair instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness of the facility.

Job description

The position is reserved for MALE UAE Nationals with Family Book.

The communication at work is 100% in English and therefore, they must be fluent.

Location:

Mirfa International Power & Water Company (MIPCO), Mirfa, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Purpose of the Job:

The Control Room Operator (CRO) ensures safe and efficient operation of the power and water plant, optimizing plant performance and maintaining all control systems to meet commercial and environmental targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce Health & Safety policies and monitor contractor compliance
• Operate plant equipment and respond to emergencies
• Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance
• Perform calibration and repair of instrumentation and control systems
• Maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness of the facility

Operates in a high-risk, hazardous environment. Must use full PPE and comply with safety protocols. Job is classified as high-risk according to international safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Diploma/degree in one of the following fields:

• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Or other relevant engineering disciplines

Should have 3-5 Years / 3 years field or Plant control panel experience in Power Plant Operations. Maintenance experience is also considered for the role

Skills:

• Proficiency in English, Arabic is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Computer literate with diagnostic tool proficiency
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and emergency response practices

Working hours:

The normal working hours is 02 morning & 02 nights shift of 12 Hrs. each and followed by 04 days week offs.

Must be flexible with day or night shift
