Job summary

PPOAR is seeking an experienced Carpenter for a contract position in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will construct, install, and repair wood structures and fixtures, reading blueprints and using tools to ensure precise results.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter in construction or carpentry roles.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
• Knowledge of wood properties and carpentry materials.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes/regulations is a plus.
• Physically capable of manual labor and precise measurements.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project requirements.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to specifications.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring and trim.
• Construct building frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes.
• Cut, shape and smooth materials using hand or power tools.
• Inspect work for quality and ensure it meets project requirements.
• Follow safety protocols at all times.
