Job summary

Allocation Assist is seeking an experienced Consultant Sports Medicine Physician in Abu Dhabi to provide comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals. You will diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate sports injuries, while contributing to prevention strategies and performance optimization.

The role requires a valid DOH license or eligibility, a specialist qualification in Sports Medicine, and significant post-specialization experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Sports Medicine or an equivalent relevant specialty.
• Valid DOH license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain one.
• Significant post-specialization experience in sports medicine and musculoskeletal care.
• Strong clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of sports injuries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive sports medicine assessments and develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Manage muscle, ligament, tendon, joint, and overuse injuries.
• Perform and interpret appropriate clinical investigations and imaging.
• Provide ultrasound-guided procedures and injections where appropriately trained.
• Develop injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport programs.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct pre-participation and fitness assessments for athletes.
• Support athletes with performance optimization and exercise prescription.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow evidence-based guidelines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical education, and quality-improvement initiatives.
