Leading private hospital in UAE seeks an experienced Consultant Pulmonologist to lead respiratory care for adults. You will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pulmonary diseases, perform PFTs and bronchoscopy, and collaborate with ICU and specialists to deliver evidence-based care.

The role requires advanced clinical skills, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered outcomes in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Formación

• Medical degree from a recognized institution with pulmonary specialization.
• Board certification or equivalent in Pulmonology and 5+ years of post‑specialty experience.
• Expertise in respiratory diagnostics, PFTs, imaging, and bronchoscopy.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of respiratory conditions in adults.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on guidelines.
• Provide care for critically ill patients in collaboration with ICU teams.

Job Description:

Job Summary

Leading private hospital in UAE seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Pulmonologist to join their healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory diseases and disorders affecting adult patients. This role requires advanced clinical expertise, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered pulmonary care using evidence-based medical practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary infections, sleep-related breathing disorders, and respiratory failure.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, investigations, and current medical guidelines.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, imaging studies, and other respiratory assessments.
• Manage complex pulmonary cases and provide long-term care for chronic respiratory conditions.
• Perform specialized respiratory procedures, including bronchoscopy and related diagnostic interventions when required.
• Evaluate and manage patients with sleep disorders, including sleep apnea.
• Provide respiratory care for critically ill patients in collaboration with intensive care teams.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed.
• Provide patient education regarding disease management, medication use, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, oncologists, allergists, radiologists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
• Mentor junior physicians and contribute to medical education and professional development activities.
• Stay updated with advances in pulmonary medicine, respiratory therapies, and emerging treatment approaches.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Completion of postgraduate training in Pulmonology, Respiratory Medicine, or Internal Medicine with pulmonary specialization.
• Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Pulmonology.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialty clinical experience as a Consultant Pulmonologist.
• Extensive experience in diagnosing and managing complex respiratory conditions.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory diagnostics, pulmonary function testing, and advanced treatment approaches.
• Experience with bronchoscopy, critical care respiratory management, or sleep medicine is preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and patient management abilities.
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
