Job Summary

The Content Creator will strengthen Emirates Nature–WWF's organic social media presence, grow and engage our online community, and build awareness of environmental conservation across the UAE.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based content creation role with a strong focus on on‑location content capture and end‑to‑end video production. The Content Creator will transform conservation activities, environmental topics, field experiences, community engagements and organisational stories into engaging, accessible and locally relevant digital content.

The role requires a creative storyteller who understands social media audiences and trends, is confident working independently in the field, and can conceptualise, film, edit and deliver high‑quality content in both Arabic and English.

Background

Emirates Nature is a UAE environmental non‑governmental charity, established in 2001 under the Honorary Founder and President H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed’s vision for the United Arab Emirates. HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the Ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of Environmental Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) Board of Directors.

We operate with offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah and are governed by a local board of directors.
Emirates Nature works in association with WWF, one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations. Emirates Nature‑WWF has been active in the UAE for two decades and is renowned for its commitment to biodiversity conservation, habitat protection, sustainable development, and community engagement. Some of our flagship projects include marine conservation initiatives to protect coral reefs and marine species, wildlife conservation programs focusing on endangered species such as Arabian oryx and sea turtles, habitat restoration projects in critical ecosystems, and sustainable development initiatives aimed at mitigating climate change impacts and promoting eco‑friendly practices across various sectors.

It is our organizational objective to ensure a high performing workforce within our offices with highly efficient, skilled members all of whom will be unilaterally focused on supporting and delivering conservation activities to our stakeholders within the UAE.

Major Duties and Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Storytelling
  • Research and develop fresh, locally relevant content ideas and formats aligned with Emirates Nature–WWF's priorities, campaigns and audiences.
  • Translate environmental and conservation topics into engaging, accessible and audience‑relevant social media content.
  • Develop recurring content series that are distinctive, engaging and recognisable to EN‑WWF audiences.
  • Create content in both Arabic and English, adapting tone and format to the intended audience and platform.
  • Maintain awareness of social media trends, formats and audience behaviours and identify opportunities relevant to EN‑WWF.
Field Content Creation
  • Travel regularly across Dubai and other emirates—approximately three days per week as required—to capture content from conservation project sites, field activities, community engagements, conferences, public events and other relevant settings.
  • Engage confidently with members of the public, volunteers, stakeholders, experts and other contributors during content production.
  • Direct and support on‑camera participation where required.
  • Capture content using professional filming equipment and mobile‑first production setups as appropriate.
  • Attend selected evening, weekend and field activities where required for content capture.
Video Production & Post‑Production
  • Produce approximately 10–20 social media videos per month, managing the complete production cycle from ideation and scripting through filming, editing and final delivery.
  • Produce varied content formats including interviews and vox pops, educational videos, storytelling content, behind‑the‑scenes content, expert‑led features, testimonials and trend‑led social media content.
  • Independently undertake post‑production including editing, pacing, graphics, audio, colour correction and finalisation.
  • Ensure content meets required quality, brand, platform and communications standards.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement team to align content with organisational priorities, campaigns and communications requirements.
  • Coordinate with Conservation, Community Outreach & Volunteerism and other teams to identify compelling stories and content opportunities.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, experts, partners and stakeholders to accurately communicate EN‑WWF's work.
  • Ensure environmental and technical information is communicated accurately while remaining engaging and accessible to public audiences.
Requirements
Experience
  • Ideally 2 years of relevant professional experience in social media content creation, particularly for Instagram and TikTok.
  • Demonstrated experience personally conceptualising, filming and editing video content.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical content‑production capability.
  • Experience creating content at events, community engagements, outdoor activities or public‑facing campaigns.
  • Experience creating bilingual Arabic/English content is required.
  • Experience in conservation, sustainability, environment, science communication or purpose‑led organisations is advantageous.
Education/Skills
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant professional qualification in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Film, Media Production, Journalism or a related field is desirable.
  • Equivalent demonstrable professional experience and a strong portfolio may be considered.
Skills

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and mobile‑first social media content.
