Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Mechanical) for a site-based role in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will oversee field construction activities for oil and gas projects, ensuring mechanical work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree with 17+ years in oil & gas, including GCC experience, and EPC/EPCM exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (mandatory).
• 17+ years of relevant oil & gas experience.
• 5 years in GCC region.
• 5 years in a similar position.
• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas pipeline projects.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
• In-depth understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical construction, including piping, equipment installation, fabrication, and testing.
• Coordinate subcontractors, crews, materials, and equipment.
• Enforce HSE requirements and conduct daily safety meetings.
• Monitor progress, quality, productivity, and project schedules.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and work packages.
• Coordinate inspections, pre-commissioning, and system handover.
• Provide daily reports and resolve field issues promptly.
