Job summary

Archirodon is seeking a Construction Section Head - Mechanical to lead all Mechanical construction activities within our Oil, Gas and Chemicals division. You will drive site execution, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure adherence to ADNOC standards and project schedules.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and extensive GCC/Oil & Gas EPC experience, with strong leadership and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of Oil & Gas or EPC construction experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Construction Section Head role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or major GCC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedules.
• Ensure day-to-day operations align with the approved construction plan and schedule.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, and Commissioning for smooth project execution.
• Ensure manpower, materials, equipment, and resources are available; resolve construction issues to maintain progress.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures, and execution plans.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones.
• Supervise subcontractors to meet quality, safety, and schedule targets.
• Participate in construction meetings and provide technical solutions with Engineering.
• Implement Permit-to-Work system and maintain safety in live plant environments.
• Prepare manpower plans, resource allocations, and progress updates.

What you will need to do:

• Lead and manage all Mechanicalconstruction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved construction plans, and project schedules.
• Ensure day-to-day operations are executed in accordance with the approved construction plan and schedule.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, Commissioning, and other project disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure the timely availability of manpower, materials, equipment, and other required resources. Identify construction issues and implement appropriate solutions to maintain project progress.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, applicable international codes, and HSE regulations.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures, and execution plans prior to construction activities.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved schedule and implement corrective actions to achieve project milestones.
• Supervise and manage subcontractors to ensure quality, productivity, safety, and schedule targets are achieved.
• Participate in construction meetings and provide technical solutions to site execution challenges in coordination with the Engineering team.
• Ensure effective implementation of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system and maintain strict safety compliance in live plant environments.
• Prepare and review manpower plans, resource allocation, productivity reports, and construction progress updates to optimize project delivery.
• Ensure all Mechanicalworks are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and inspection requirements prior to handover.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC construction projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Construction Section Head role.
• Proven experience working on ADNOC or major GCC Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong experience managing Mechanicalconstruction activities, large site teams, and subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, site execution strategies, and productivity management.
• Thorough understanding of ADNOC standards, project specifications, applicable international codes, HSE regulations, risk assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-track project environments.
• ADNOC approval or prior ADNOC leadership experience will be an added advantage.
